SOCCER - Day Camp

DETAILS: This camp will provide technical and tactical skills training in a fun and challenging environment for girls ages 8 to 17. Campers will be divided by age and ability to maximize development. Camp training sessions will include: individual touch/skill on the ball, passing/receiving, off the ball movement, 1v1 offensive and defensive tactics, and finishing. Tactical aspects of the game will be trained in small sided games and competitions. In addition, emphasis will be placed on the importance of having and demonstrating good characteristics as a player and as a person.

WHEN: Monday, June 17 – Friday, June 21, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Before and after extended care available by request.
WHO: Girls ages 8 to 17
WHERE: Meredith College Soccer Stadium
STAFF: Program Director: Assistant Meredith College Soccer Coach Ashley Riggs, along with current and former college players
BRING: Soccer ball, shin guards, cleats, sneakers, sunscreen, water bottle, lunch

SOCCER - Half Day Camp

DETAILS: This half day camp will focus exclusively on the development of the basic soccer skills needed to become a player that is able to be more accurate, precise and comfortable with the ball. This will be accomplished by a variety of exercises that will maximize ball contact in situations that include dribbling, coervers, receiving and turning, passing, trapping the ball with different body parts and finishing. The last part of each daily session will be spent in small sided group play with an overall objective of progressing from learning and practicing skills to performing skills under pressure in game situations. Campers will be divided into groups based on age and skill level.

WHO: Girls ages 6 - 17
WHEN: Monday, July 8 – Friday, July 12, 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Before and after care available upon request.
WHERE: Meredith College Soccer Stadium
STAFF: Program Director, Assistant Meredith College Soccer Coach Ashley Riggs, along with current and former college players

VOLLEYBALL - Day Camp

TAKE YOUR GAME TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Join us for an exciting camp experience. We will work to refine your basic skills and push your game to the next level. Small group sizes offer lots of opportunity for personal attention.  Encouraging training atmosphere offers the perfect blend of focus and fun!

DETAILS: This camp focuses on fundamental volleyball skills using fun instructional techniques and competition. This session is geared towards beginning to intermediate skill levels.

WHEN: Monday, July 22 – Wednesday, July 24, Daily 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
WHO: Female-only camp for 6th - 10th graders
WHERE: Meredith College, Weatherspoon Gym
STAFF: Camp will be led by Meredith’s Head Volleyball Coach Fiona Barkley with assistance from Meredith volleyball players and staff. Coach Barkley enters her seventh season at Meredith bringing with her recent coaching and camp experience from Division I and Division II levels.
COST: $145 (if you register before June 22), $155 (after June 22), Price includes lunch daily and a souvenir camp T-shirt.

VOLLEYBALL – Overnight Camp

DETAILS: This camp reiterates fundamental volleyball skills while pushing intermediate to advanced campers to learn new skills and gain valuable play experience.

WHEN: Thursday, July 25 – Saturday, July 27
WHO: Female-only camp for 8th - 12th graders
WHERE: Meredith College, Weatherspoon Gym
STAFF: Camp will be led by Meredith’s Head Volleyball Coach Fiona Barkley with assistance from Meredith volleyball players and staff.  Coach Barkley enters her seventh season at Meredith bringing with her recent coaching and camp experience from Division I and Division II levels.
COST:  Overnight Camper, $240 (before June 26), $250 (after June 26), Overnight Price includes meals, lodging and a souvenir camp t-shirt
           Commuter Camper, $190 (before June 26), $200 (after June 26), Commuter Price includes meals and a souvenir camp t-shirt

BASKETBALL – Day Camp

DETAILS: This camp provides intensive, individualized training for middle school basketball players with focus on offensive and defensive fundamental skills as well as the strategies of the game.

WHEN: Monday, July 15 – Friday, July 19, Daily 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
WHO: Female-only camp for 6th - 8th graders
WHERE: Meredith College, Weatherspoon Gym
STAFF: Camp will be led by Meredith’s Head Basketball Coach Melinda Campbell with assistance from Meredith basketball players and staff.  Camp features a small camper-to-staff ratio.
COST: $260 (if you register before May 15), $285 (after May 15), Price includes a souvenir camp T-shirt. Non-refundable deposit of $50 due with application. Remainder due July 15.

TENNIS – Day Camp

DETAILS: This weeklong day camp is designed to improve player confidence on the court. We will focus on improving fundamentals, stroke technique and court strategy through drills, fun activities and match play.

WHEN: Monday, June 17 – Friday, June 21, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
WHO: Boys and Girls, ages 8-13
WHERE: Meredith College Tennis Complex
STAFF: Camp will be led by Meredith Assistant Tennis Coach Katie Miller with assistance from Meredith players and staff. Miller just concluded her first season with the Avenging Angels. She brings experience as a Division II and Division III player from Pennsylvania.
COST: $150 (before May 22), $165 (after May 22)

TENNIS – Evening Camp

DETAILS: This weeklong evening camp is designed to improve player confidence on the court. We will focus on improving fundamentals, stroke technique and court strategy through drills, fun activities and match play.

WHO: Boys and Girls, ages 14-18
WHERE: Meredith College Tennis Complex
