Webster Named USA South Rookie Pitcher of the Week

Fayetteville, N.C. – The USA South Athletic Conference released their player of the week awards on Monday. Freshman Carrie Webster was named USA South Rookie Pitcher of the Week.

Softball Rookie Pitcher of the Week
Carrie Webster, Meredith - The Pittsboro, North Carolina freshman posted a 1-0 record in two appearances last week for the Avenging Angels. For the week, she totaled eight shutout-innings pitched and allowed nine hits with one walk and four strikeouts. In a 1-0 loss to Randolph-Macon, Webster tossed six shutout-innings and earned a no-decision. Webster collected a win in relief as she pitched two scoreless-innings in a 3-2 victory over Eastern Mennonite.
