Softball Finishes with 6-0 Record in Florida

Lake Buena Vista, Fla. - The Meredith softball team completed their play with a 6-0 record in Florida in the Disney's 2012 Softball Spring Training presented by Champion.  Brief updates are posted below:

Mar. 7  Meredith 11, Cedar Crest 0 - 5 innings:  Meredith opened their play in Florida with a 11-0 win over Cedar Crest on Wednesday.  The Avenging Angels were led from the circle by Jessica Dzeskewicz with a one-hitter and seven strikeouts.
Mar. 7  Meredith 11, Cedar Crest 0 - 5 innings: The Avenging Angels once again topped Cedar Crest 11-0 in game two.  Freshman Amanda White threw a four hitter and struck out six in the victory.
    
Mar. 8  Meredith 4, Alvernia 0:  Amanda Beirne pitched a complete game shut out in game one on the day and a win over Alvernia.
Mar. 8  Meredith 6, Alvernia 2: Beirne followed up her earlier game with another complete game and a victory over Alvernia.
    
Mar. 9  Meredith 10, Penn St.-Hazleton 0 - 6 innings: Dzeskewicz picked up the win in the 10-0 victory by Meredith.   
Mar. 9  Meredith 8, Brooklyn 0 - 6 innings: Carrie Webster gained the complete game 8-0 win.

Meredith starts conference play on March 18 as the Avenging Angels host Averett.  The double header starts at 2 p.m.
