#21 Greensboro Rolls by Basketball, 77-54
Greensboro, N.C. - The Meredith basketball team concluded their USA South road trip as they faced the #21 nationally-ranked Greensboro Pride. Greensboro took the Avenging Angels 77-54.
Meredith (3-8, 1-4 USA South) took the first lead at 2-0 as Allyson Stephenson scored but Greensboro (8-1, 5-0) then went on a 11-0 run to give the Pride a 11-2 lead. Greensboro then led by as many as 15 points in the first half and the Pride held the 37-23 halftime advantage.
The second half saw Greensboro maintain their lead and build on it to take the win at 77-54. The Pride held a huge advantage on the boards as Greensboro had 63 compared to 28 by Meredith.
Meredith was led by Rahn with 20 points and eight rebounds. Bryana Holmes had 14 points including four three pointers. Keyanka Bailey added seven points. The Pride were led by Danielle Duncan with 20 points and nine rebounds.
The Avenging Angels next host Mary Baldwin on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Weatherspoon Gymnasium.
