Roanoke, Va. - The Meredith basketball team completed their non-conference schedule on Tuesday night at Hollins University.  The Avenging Angels fell to Hollins 90-70.

The Avenging Angels (5-16) jumped out of the gate quick as they held a 9-1 lead on host Hollins.  Hollins (9-12) then went on a 16-0 run to gain the lead at 17-9.  Hollins held the 42-29 halftime lead over Meredith.  The second half saw Hollins maintain their lead and cruise to the twenty point win over Meredith.

Meredith was led by Megan Rahn with 20 points.  Keyanka Bailey had 18 points and 8 rebounds while Kristen Alford added 13 points.  Hollins out rebounded Meredith 47-36 and was also hot shooting at 55% compared to Meredith at 34%.

Meredith next heads to Mary Baldwin on Saturday for a 2 p.m. match up with the Fighting Squirrels.
