    Joseph Scores Five as MC Lax Coasts to 21-5 Victory Over Pirates The Meredith College lacrosse team coasted to a 21-5 victory over the Southwestern University Pirates in Sunday afternoon's non-conference action. Led by Carlee Joseph with five goals in as many shots on goal, ten Angels found the net in the win.

    Halvorson Leads Lacrosse in 13-11 Victory Over Visiting Royals Jennifer Halvorson scored a season high six goals in a career-high 12 attempts to lead the Meredith College lacrosse Angels to a 13-11 victory over the visiting Scranton Royals on Friday evening. Meredith scored four consecutive goals late in the second half to secure the win.

Joseph was named Player of the Week and Hite earned Defensive Player of the Week as the Avenging Angels earned three road wins during spring break last week.

Led by the offensive dominance of Carlee Joseph and Holly Hite, the Avenging Angels extend their winning streak to five heading into the USA South schedule.

    Thirteen Lax Angels Score in 23-5 Victory Over Albion In Tuesday's Noon lacrosse match on the neutral turf of the University of the South, Meredith College dispatched a 23-5 win over the Albion Britons. Thirteen Avenging Angels contributed to the offense, and Holly Hite's career-high 11 draw controls kept the ball in Meredith's possession.

    Meadows,'15, Joins Bishops Coaching Staff Meredith College alumna Charlotte "Lottie" Meadows, '15, recently joined the USA South's N.C. Welseyan College women's lacrosse coaching staff. The Battling Bishops reinstated the program slated to begin spring 2018 under direction of new head coach Bridgett Walker, and Meadows will assist in all aspects of the program.

Junior Carlee Joseph recorded a breakout game on the season with seven goals, and Julie Capretti tallied four to lead the Avenging Angels.

Under the direction of fifth year Head Coach Lauren Scott, the Avenging Angels captured their first regular season crown in 2016 and their third consecutive tournament title.

    Hatcher Represents Meredith at NCAA Convention Senior tennis player and Meredith College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee President Laura Anne Hatcher joined 24 other USA South student-athletes last week at the NCAA Convention in Nashville, Tenn. For the first time the conference used NCAA grant funds to send a cohort of athletes to the annual event.

    Lacrosse Earns Top NCAA DIII Honor with Scoring Offense The 2016 Meredith College lacrosse team recorded the best scoring offense across all of NCAA Division III averaging 18.37 points per match. The Avenging Angels posted their best season yet claiming a third consecutive USA South Tournament Championship and first Regular Season crown with a 17-2 overall record and a perfect 6-0 in conference play.

    Lacrosse Team Earns Academic Honor The Meredith College lacrosse team was named Wednesday to the 2016 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association's (IWLCA) Zag Sports Honor Squad for the second consecutive season. The IWLCA selected 275 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA.
