Tennis Added to Meredith Summer Camp Lineup
RALEIGH, N.C. - Meredith College Assistant Tennis Coach Katie Miller announced Wednesday the details for her day and evening summer camps. New SAAC Officers Emerge
RALEIGH, N.C. - The Meredith College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) selected the slate of officers for the 2013-2014 academic year. After a two-year commitment as SAAC President, graduating senior softball player Sara Cranford passed her post to rising junior soccer member Megan Amanatides.

Meredith Hosts Athletic Banquet
RALEIGH, N.C. - The Meredith College Athletic Department hosted the annual awards banquet Wednesday, April 24, to celebrate the 2012-2013 accomplishments of the seven Avenging Angel teams and all student-athlete participants. Athletics Director Jackie Myers recognized the 63 student-athletes who earned at least a 3.0 grade point average during the 2012 calendar year, including eight named to the Vice-President's Club for earning a perfect 4.0.

Soccer Finishes Third in Spring Tourney
ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - The Meredith soccer team competed in N.C. Wesleyan's 8 v. 8 tournament to close out the program's non-traditional spring season in April. Out of 16 participating teams, the Avenging Angels finished 2-1-1 on the day for a share of third place.

Athletics Annual Golf Classic a Success
RALEIGH, N.C. - The 15th Annual Meredith College Golf Classic was held Monday, April 8, at North Raleigh's Wildwood Green Golf Club. More than 70 golfers registered in support of Meredith athletics and enjoyed a warm spring day at the links.

Meredith SAAC Donates "Pennies for a Purpose" Collection to Relay for Life
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The Avenging Angel Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will donate monies collected during the USA South's "Pennies for a Purpose" campaign to Meredith's Relay for Life team. The conference SAAC established this community service initiative in 2008 in an effort to raise money for local organizations during the spring semester.

USA South "Cans Across the Conference" Results
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The Meredith College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) collected 338 cans of non-perishable food this fall as part of the USA South's "Cans Across the Conference" competition. The group will donate the food to Meredith's "The Daisy Trade Too," a campus service group supporting Meredith students and families in need.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The No. 1 seeded Averett Cougars defeated No. 8 Methodist University 5-1 in Sunday's last quarterfinal pairing in the USA South Women's Soccer Tournament. Meredith advanced to the semifinal round Saturday after defeating the Piedmont College Lions 1-2 in double overtime at Meredith Athletic Field and will face Averett.
