Tennis Takes Pride from Greensboro, 9-0

Greensboro, N.C. - The Meredith tennis team traveled to Greensboro to take on the Pride on Tuesday.  The Avenging Angels swept Greensboro 9-0.

Meredith had an easy time at doubles, taking all matches with wins from #1 Ashley Pearsall/Mary Lawrence Newton, #2 Betty Edwards/Mollie Musgrave and #3 Puja Patel/Zannah Webster.

Singles play wasn't much of a challenge for the Avenging Angels as well with 6-0, 6-0 sweeps from #1 Patel, #3 Newton, #4 Edwards and #5 Musgrave.

Meredith returns to action on Sunday as the Avenging Angels host Averett for a 1:30 p.m. match.  Senior Zannah Webster will be honored prior to the match.
