Meredith Gains Conference Split at Home

Raleigh, N.C. - The Meredith volleyball team started home play hosting back to back conference matches over the weekend. The Avenging Angels (6-4, 1-2 USA South) split with Christopher Newport and Ferrum.

Chris. Newport 3, Meredith 0 - The #11 Christopher Newport Captains proved their strength with a 3-0 win over Meredith. Cori Spade and Mallory Booker tied for Meredith's top kill leaders with three each.

Meredith 3, Ferrum 0 - The Avenging Angels bounced back on the day, downing Ferrum in straight sets 3-0. Meredith overpowered the Panthers with 42 kills versus Ferrum's 14. The Avenging Angels were led by Mallory Booker with nine kills and four service aces. Anna Hayes added had eight kills.

Meredith returns to action on Sunday at home with Mary Baldwin at noon and Averett at 4 p.m.
