Meredith Drops Match to Pfeiffer

RALEIGH, N.C. | The team fought valiantly in Meredith's last home match of the season but ultimately fell to Pfeiffer 7-0. Claire Southern put together a gritty three-set effort at No. 2 singles, showcasing resilience and heart in one of the most competitive matches of the day.

INSIDE THE MATCH:
The Falcons quickly earned the doubles point, winning all three doubles matches 6-3, 6-1, 6-0. Ellie Osborne and Claire Southern won three games in their #1 doubles match.

Southern dropped the opening set 0-6 to Pfeiffer's Sydney Cohen but regrouped quickly, finding her rhythm and responding with a commanding 6-4 second set. Pushing the match to a decisive third-set tiebreak, Southern traded points with Cohen in a thrilling back-and-forth battle before ultimately falling 10-5.
