RALEIGH, N.C. – Meredith College closed out the 2025–26 season at home Saturday, competing hard in a 2-5 match against USA South Conference opponent Salem College. The Avenging Angels battled throughout the lineup, highlighted by two hard-earned singles victories to cap the year.

Meredith opened the match with Molly Zuburg and Cate Reilly securing a 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles. Salem responded with wins at No. 2 and No. 3, securing the doubles point. Zuburg delivered a resilient comeback at No. 2, bouncing back after dropping the first set to win in a third-set super tiebreak. Emme Baber added another point at No. 6, grinding out a three-set victory that showcased the team's fight and determination. Several other matches were tightly contested, including a narrow super tiebreak at No. 4 singles by Jayla Kearney.
