RALEIGH, N.C. - Meredith field hockey hosted its third consecutive Sunday home contest, battling Randolph-Macon on a warm and humid Sunday afternoon in Raleigh.
The Yellow Jackets controlled play throughout, however, taking the win by a score of 6-0.
Randolph-Macon scored at least once in each quarter, including three times in each half to gradually pull away.
The Avenging Angels totaled six shots for the contest, led by two from
Charlotte Dyer, who was coming off a standout nine-point performance on Thursday at Sweet Briar.
Trailing 3-0 and looking to find momentum in the closing seconds of the first half, Meredith created its best chance, but the Yellow Jackets defended just well enough to keep MC off the scoreboard.
Up next, Meredith will take to the road to battle Batten University this Wednesday, September 23 at 6 p.m.
