Schuh Named USA South Player of the Week

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Meredith College junior Kimberly Schuh was named the USA South Women's Basketball Player of the Week, as announced Monday afternoon from the league office. Schuh surpassed 1000 career points in Saturday's win at Shaw.

Schuh averaged 22.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.0 steals as the Avenging Angels posted a 1-1 record last week. She scored nine points with nine boards, two assists, and a pair of steals in a nine-point loss to Guilford. In a 79-77 win versus Division II Shaw University, she reached her career points milestone in her first field goal of the game and went on to score 36 points. She add six rebounds, one assist in the win.

MCBB hosts a pair of non-conference games heading into the Thanksgiving holiday beginning with Christopher Newport November 23 at 2 p.m. Piedmont International travels to Raleigh Monday, Nov. 25 for a 6:30 p.m. contest.
