  • Fifty-Two Angels Earn All-Academic; Fourteen with Distinction

    The USA South Conference awarded fifty-two Meredith College Avenging Angels All-Academic honors as announced recently from the league office. Fourteen Angels received a "With Distinction" notation due to exceptional academic success.
  • Avenging Angels Celebrate Yearlong Successes

    Meredith College Athletics Director Jackie Myers hosted the Annual Athletics Awards Ceremony Wednesday, May 1, to recognize student-athletes with academic and athletic honors. Junior volleyball player Samantha Smith collected the program's Dean Burris Student-Athlete Award, and senior lacrosse midfielder Holly Hite garnered the Athlete of the Year.
  • Stanley/Thomas Medal at USA South Track & Field Championship

    The Meredith College Avenging Angels placed sixth in the USA South Conference Women's Track & Field Championship held at Berea College in Berea, Kentucky, April 18-19. Demonica Stanley and Essence Thomas medaled for the Angels, and both earned All-Conference honors as a result. Rookie Mitxi Ortiz was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
  • Meredith Headed to USA South Track & Field Championship

    The Meredith College track & field team departed campus Thursday morning headed to Berea, Kentucky, for the two-day USA South Track & Field Championship April 18-19. The event marks the first for the conference in this sport since 1986 and fans may follow live results beginning Thursday, April 18, at Noon.
  • Track Closes Out Regular Season at Elon; Seniors Honored

    Meredith College Head Track & Field Coach Leslie Payne and her squad celebrated five seniors during Saturday's Elon University Phoenix Invitational. The Avenging Angels now look ahead to the first-ever USA South Outdoor Track & Field Championship slated for April 18-19 in Berea, Kentucky.
  • Meredith Second-Best DIII Finisher in Trojan Challenge

    Meredith College track and field finished as the second-best NCAA Division III program in Saturday's Adidas Trojan Challenge hosted by the University of Mount Olive. The Avenging Angels placed eighth behind the USA South's Methodist in seventh with host UMO leading the way for the women.

    Meredith College basketball standout Kimberly Schuh and rookie Caroline Coleman were recognized by the USA South Athletic Conference. Schuh was selected to the All-Conference and All-East first teams and Coleman named to the All-Sportsmanship team.
