RALEIGH, N.C. -- As the USA South Women's Volleyball East Division second seed, Meredith College will host early rounds of the conference tournament Tuesday, Nov. 5. At 7:30 p.m. the Avenging Angels will play the winner between third-seed William Peace and sixth-seed Methodist.
Admission will be charged for all conference tournament games at $6 for adults and $3 for students (with ID), seniors, and children. Meredith athletics will cover the admission cost of MC faculty/staff/students with CamCard.
MCVB defeated Methodist twice during the regular season but split with the Pacers. Be ready for competitive volleyball in both matches, as all three teams vie for a chance to advance to the USA South semifinals slated for Friday hosted by the highest remaining seed after Tuesday's action.
Meredith enters the tournament as the defending conference tournament champion under the continued leadership of 2018 USA South Coach of the Year Fiona Barkley. All but one player from last year's team returned this fall, including last year's Player of the Year Caroline Corey, and will be ready to take on either opponent Tuesday night.
