Chase Strawser joined Meredith Athletics in the summer of 2026 as an assistant within the athletic communications office
He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Applied Leadership at Campbell University, where he also serves as an Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant, and is the primary contact for men's and women's cross country, men's wrestling and softball.
Strawser earned bachelor’s degrees in Sport Management and Journalism from Elon University in May 2025, with minors in Professional Writing Studies and Leadership Studies. While at Elon, he served as Co-Executive Director of Rising Phoenix, a student-led multimedia organization that worked alongside the athletic communications department. Strawser also worked as a broadcaster for Elon Sports Vision and served as team manager and communications assistant for the women’s lacrosse team.
He has completed internships with the NWSL's North Carolina Courage, World Lacrosse, USA Lacrosse, and most recently, led game day communications and statistics operations for the AUSL's Carolina Blaze during their inaugural season in Durham.
In addition to his athletic communications experience, Strawser has more than five years of broadcasting experience, calling games for various collegiate programs across ESPN+, FloSports and other platforms.
At Meredith, Strawser will assist the Athletic Communications Office in all aspects, including broadcasting, statistics, game operations, social media and website management.
