Jaina Kelly

Jaina Kelly joined the Meredith College Department of Athletics as an athletic trainer in 2026.

Kelly comes to Meredith after completing her Master of Science in Athletic Training at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in May 2026. She previously earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Charlotte in 2024.

During her graduate clinical education, Kelly gained experience working with a variety of collegiate and scholastic athletic programs. She served as a student athletic trainer with the Charlotte 49ers' women's lacrosse program during the spring 2026 semester and with the football program during the fall 2025 semester. She also worked with the men's and women's tennis programs during the spring 2025 semester.

Kelly's additional clinical experience includes working with Atrium Health's Musculoskeletal Institute Sports Medicine and Charlotte Country Day School. Her clinical education also provided opportunities to observe ACL reconstruction surgery, participate in an EMS ride-along, assist with a UNC Charlotte track and field meet and work at the North Carolina State Wrestling Tournament.

Kelly became a Board of Certification (BOC) certified athletic trainer in May 2026. She is also certified in CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid and has completed QPR Mental Health Gatekeeper Training.
