Lauren Scott was named Assistant Athletic Director of Internal Affairs in July of 2026 while continuing to serve as Head Lacrosse Coach, a role she has held since the 2013Â season.

The first and only head coach in Meredith College lacrosse history, Scott has built one of the premier NCAA Division III programs in the South. Entering her 15th season as head coach, she owns a 193-70 career record and has guided the Avenging Angels to 21 conference championships, including 12 consecutive USA South Conference Tournament titles and nine regular season USA South championships. Her student athletes have earned 11 Conference Player of the Year honors, seven Rookie of the Year awards and over 100 All-Conference selections. Scott herself has been named USA South Coach of the Year eight times.
The 2026 season marked another milestone in Meredith's rise on the national stage. The Avenging Angels led NCAA Division III in scoring offense and scoring margin while ranking among the nation's leaders in several statistical categories. Reese Walker and Kenzie Todd earned USA Lacrosse All-America honors, highlighting another season of national success under Scott's leadership.
Prior to joining Meredith, Scott spent nine seasons as the head girls' lacrosse coach at Danbury High School in Connecticut, where she transformed the program into a state championship team and earned Connecticut Class L Coach of the Year, Connecticut Division II Coach of the Year, FCIAC Coach of the Year, and Newstimes Coach of the Year honors. She also served as a Connecticut Lighting premier coach, volunteered as an assistant coach at Western Connecticut State University, and directed youth lacrosse initiatives throughout the greater Danbury area.
A standout student-athlete at Western Connecticut State, Scott was a four-year letterwinner and remains one of the most accomplished players in program history. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Western Connecticut State University and also holds a teaching certificate and a minor in Exercise Science from Southern Connecticut State University.
