Tammy Holleman returned to Meredith College in July 2015 as the head athletic trainer after serving as an assistant for the Avenging Angels in 2010.
After a one-year term doubling as an assistant at Meredith while serving as a physical therapy aide/athletic trainer at Raleigh Orthopedic, Holleman transitioned to the Division II program of Barton College as an assistant athletic trainer.
Holleman worked two years in the Bulldog training room before transitioning to an administration role as coordinator of athletic training services. She was quickly promoted to the position of athletic training program director where she spent her last year. Throughout her tenure at Barton, Holleman served as an assistant professor in the athletic training program and allied health and sports studies.
A native North Carolinian, Holleman earned a Bachelor of Science from Western Carolina University in both athletic training and criminal justice. She also completed a four-year intercollegiate women's soccer career with the WCU Catamounts.
Holleman then attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to complete a Master of Arts in education of administration. She held an athletic training graduate assistantship at Nebraska working with women's basketball, women's tennis, men's and women's track and field, and men's and women's cross country.
She and husband Ryan reside in Knightdale with daughter Karlie Rae.
