Raleigh, N.C. - The Meredith Volleyball Program picked up two more wins inside Weatherspoon Gymnasium Friday afternoon after taking down St. Mary's (Md.) and Guilford in straight sets.
In the first match of the day against St. Mary's (Md.), the Angels won 25-15, 25-15, and 25-11. They held the Seahawks to a -.133 hitting percentage.
The Angel attack was led by senior
Lauren Bissette who had a game-high 11 kills. Bissette added two blocks and posted a .556 hitting percentage.
Hannah Jo Jablonski led the defense with a game-high 19 digs while sophomore setter
Lillie Davis tallied 18 assists and eight digs.
In the second match of the afternoon against Guilford, Meredith won 25-14, 25-22, and 25-22. Meredith as a team posted a .204 hitting percentage while the Quakers only his .053.
The offense was spread out in this one for the Angels as freshman
Caitlyn Russell led the team with nine kills followed by junior
Emma Duncan with eight. Freshman
Megan Murray earned 12 digs while Jablonski picked up 13. Davis racked up 23 assists while adding five digs.
Meredith is right back in action tomorrow at home when they battle Virginia Wesleyan at noon followed by Bridgewater at 4 p.m.
