RALEIGH, N.C. - The Meredith basketball team picked up its third win in a row with a 54-43 victory over Pfeiffer University Saturday afternoon inside Weatherspoon Gymnasium.
The Avenging Angels led at the halftime break 22-15 before exploding in the third quarter outscoring the Falcons 18-8. The Angels grabbed 15 more rebounds then Pfeiffer and once again won on the offensive glass.
Meredith shot 40 percent from the field while holding the Falcons to just 27 percent.
Freshman
Marlee Beam led the charge earning a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Senior
Piper Carriere also scored 13 while adding four assists and two rebounds.
Sophomore
Rylie Wade grabbed 12 rebounds while scoring six. Senior
De'ja Morgan had a nice all around game with nine points, five rebounds, and three assists.
Meredith hits the road in conference play on Tuesday when they travel to North Carolina Wesleyan University at 3 p.m.
