RALEIGH, N.C. - The Meredith basketball program dropped a tight USA South game 59-46 against Brevard College Saturday afternoon inside Weatherspoon Gymnasium.
After trailing by seven at the end of the first quarter the Angels stormed back to cut the lead to just three at halftime. A strong third quarter from the Tornados helped them pull away and earn the victory.
Sophomore
Rylie Wade set a career-high with 15 rebounds while adding eight points. Senior
De'ja Morgan led the Angels offense with 12 points. Freshman
Paris Bethea was the second Angel to set a career-high on the day scoring her season-best 11 points.
Meredith had 17 offensive rebounds compared to Brevard's nine. The Angels outrebounded Brevard by 13.
Meredith is on the road against cross-town rival William Peace on Tuesday, Feb, 6th at 5:30 P.M.
