RALEIGH, N.C. - The Meredith Lacrosse program cruised to an 18-7 victory over Southern Virginia University Saturday afternoon at the Meredith Track & Field Complex.
Meredith (5-4, 2-0 USA South) jumped out to a 6-2 lead over Southern Virginia (3-5, 1-2 USA South) in the first quarter and never looked back. The Angels led 11-3 at halftime.
Meredith outshot the Knights 41-19 while forcing 33 turnovers for Southern Virginia. Freshman
Katherine Couch picked up seven ground balls with four caused turnovers to anchor the defense.
The offense was led by freshman
Kenzie Todd who tallied five goals with an assist. Junior
Lauryn Turner caused six turnovers while scoring two goals with two assists.

Bailey Swails scored three goals while adding two assists and sophomore
Brooke Blades scored three goals with an assist and three caused turnovers as well.
The Angels travel to Willliam Peace University on Tuesday with a start time set for 1 p.m.
