Misenheimer, N.C. - The Meredith tennis team fell 9-0 at Pfeiffer University Wednesday afternoon at the Knapp Tennis Center.

The Falcons started the afternoon taking all three doubles matches but the Angels battled tough in all three. In the No. 1 slot junior Claire Southern and fifth year Hannah Higgins fell 8-3 while the Ellie duo of junior Ellie Osborne and freshman Ellie Phillips fell 8-2 in the No. 2 doubles slot. Sophomore Anna Bitler and senior Hannah Jo Jablonski also fell 8-3 at No. 3 doubles. 

Methodist took all six singles matches in straight sets. 

The Angels host Mary Baldwin on Saturday for Senior Day at 1 p.m.
