RALEIGH, N.C. - The Meredith tennis team fell at home against Southern Virginia 8-1 Friday afternoon at the Meredith Tennis Courts.
The Angels picked up its lone point in the No. 3 doubles slot in close fashion. Sophomore

Hannah Jo Jablonski picked up the win for Meredith.
The Knights swept singles action but freshman
Zoe Jones and junior
Claire Southern fought hard in the No. 6 and No. 2 singles slots, respectively.
"The team fought really hard today against a very good opponent," head coach
Eric Douglass said. "Even though we lost, it might've been our best match of the season. We made them earn it. Very proud of the girls today."
Meredith is right back in action tomorrow when they travel to Salem for a USA South battle at 11 a.m.
