NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Meredith lacrosse team fell 19-5 against Catholic Saturday afternoon in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament inside Jennings stadium.
The Angels trailed 4-2 at the end of the first and only trailed 8-4 at halftime. Catholic opened up their lead in the third quarter after outscoring Meredith 6-0.
Meredith tallied eight shots on goal compared to Catholic earning 30.

Lauryn Turner scored a goal while adding an assist each.
Senior
Madeline Horrell racked up 11 saves in goal from the Angels.
Meredith finished 14-7 on the year winning their 10th straight USA South Tournament Title giving them another NCAA bid.
