GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Meredith softball team fell 7-1 in a winner-take-all game against the host Greensboro College Tuesday afternoon at Barber Park with a chance to move onto the USA South Championship series on the line.
Greensboro scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning and held that lead til the fifth. The Angels scored their lone run in the fifth inning after senior

Hannah Weigle went four innings only giving up two earned runs in her last start for the Avenging Angels.
Meredith finished the season 19-23 with the strongest out-of-conference schedule in the USA South proving to make a difference in the Conference Tournament run.
