Soccer Claims 3-2 Victory Over Wisconsin Lutheran

Box Score Raleigh, N.C. - After a weather-induced delay, Meredith College's soccer team delivered a dramatic comeback, defeating the Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors 3-2 in a gripping encounter.

The match began with a scoreless first half, as both teams struggled to break through each other's defenses. The Warriors managed to seize the lead early in the second half with a goal that put them ahead 1-0.

Refusing to be deterred, the Avenging Angels rallied and answered with a surge of their own. Rebecca Morrison, Kate Conoley, and Meredith Warrick scored almost consecutively, flipping the script and giving Meredith a commanding 3-1 lead. The Warriors managed to pull one back, but the game concluded with the Avenging Angels securing the 3-2 win.

In goal, Khaliah Jones and Samantha Woodfin each made three crucial saves, playing key roles in preserving the lead and ensuring the victory.

Meredith College will look to build on this thrilling win as they return to their home field tomorrow. They will face Bob Jones University at 11:00 a.m., and fans are encouraged to come out and support the team in what promises to be another exciting matchup.
