Raleigh, N.C. — Meredith College field hockey made history Tuesday evening, earning its first-ever victory over a Division II opponent with a 2–1 win against Coker University. The game, held at Meredith's home field, was played in partnership with Morgan's Message, a national organization that works to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health in athletes. The Avenging Angels dedicated the night to raising awareness for mental health and honoring the legacy of Morgan Rodgers, a former collegiate lacrosse player whose story continues to inspire athletes nationwide.
The win also marked another program milestone—Meredith's first-ever winning home record (4–3).
