Avenging Angels Battle to Scoreless Draw Against William Peace

Cary, N.C. — Meredith College soccer wrapped up its 2025 regular season with a 0–0 draw against William Peace University Wednesday evening at WakeMed Soccer Park.

First Half

The Avenging Angels came out strong in the first half, creating several scoring opportunities and controlling possession early. Shots from Jaelyne Thornton, Hannah Turner, and Ellie Heney forced saves from the Pacers' goalkeeper, while Kennedy Gaston and Isabel Bitner kept the pressure on with quality attempts just outside the box. Meredith's defense, anchored by Samantha Woodfin in goal, kept William Peace in check, allowing only two shots in the opening 45 minutes.

End of 1st Half: Meredith 0, William Peace 0

Second Half

In the second half, Meredith continued to dominate offensively, recording seven more shots and three corner kicks. Woodfin came up big with two key saves down the stretch, and the back line of Isabella Stafford, Grace Ensign, and Lucy Miller held firm to secure the shutout.
