BETHLEHEM, PA - October 3, 2025 - The Meredith College Avenging Angels hit the trails on Friday at the nationally renowned Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University. Competing against a deep field of regional and national talent, the Avenging Angels turned in strong performances, led by junior Carly O'Toole, who set a lifetime personal best of 23:32.6 to pace the squad.
O'Toole, a consistent frontrunner for Meredith, continued her impressive season with a top finish among her teammates. Following closely behind was standout freshman Juana Silva Jimenez, who posted a solid time of 24:36.8 in her Paul Short 6000-meter debut. Freshmen Madison Moyer (25:11.1) and Addison Doran (25:27.7) also impressed in their 6000-meter debuts.
Senior Laura Brown brought veteran leadership to the group, finishing in 26:30.0, while sophomores Ashleigh Modlin (27:05.0) and Elisabeth Modlin (28:44.4) rounded out the team effort.
Head Coach Field Miller praised the team's effort: "This meet is always a great test with national and regional talented teams, and our athletes stepped up in the atmosphere. We have had a rough couple of weeks keeping everyone healthy but this group did a great job facing adversity, executing our race plan, and enjoying the moment."
The Avenging Angels return to action this Friday, October 10th, at the Royals Cross Country Challenge hosted by Queens University at the historic McAlpine Creek Park.
