DANVILLE, Ky. — The Meredith College basketball team opened its 2025–26 season on the road Sunday afternoon, taking on a veteran Centre College squad. With a young lineup featuring seven new players and only two returners, the Avenging Angels gained valuable early-season experience in a challenging matchup, ultimately falling 82–39 to the Colonels.
Game Highlights
Meredith got off to a competitive start, trailing by just two points after the first quarter (13–15). The Angels showed strong energy and composure early, but Centre capitalized on its depth and experience in the second and third quarters to build a decisive lead. The Colonels' consistent shooting and defensive pressure limited Meredith's scoring opportunities, though the Angels continued to battle and execute offensively in spurts throughout the contest.
