RALEIGH, N.C. | Meredith College basketball stayed resilient and had a strong second half to complete the 65-60 comeback win against Virginia University of Lynchburg on Senior Day. The Dragon's small roster, combined with foul trouble, plagued them in the final quarter. They had three players foul out, which gave the Avenging Angels a five on three advantage for the final four minutes of the game.

- Kendalyn Dixon got into the lane, made a jumper and drew the foul, completing the three-point play at the line. Paris Bethea nailed a jumper on the next possession to put Meredith up 5-4.
- Karrin Purchas made a layup for Virginia University of Lynchburg, which kick started a 10-0 run for the Dragons. Meredith answered with a 9-1 run highlighted by a triple from Pam Mock. At the end of the first quarter, the Avenging Angels led by one, 15-14.
- Macy Brackett made three straight layups to start the second frame and give Virginia University of Lynchburg the 21-14 advantage. Rylie Wade converted a layup and Jeallen Holland made a baseline jumper to cut the deficit to three. Late in the quarter, Purchas nailed another one from deep for the Dragons.
- After 20, Virginia University of Lynchburg led 27-24.
- For the first five minutes of the third quarter, the Dragons dominated and went on an 18-3 run. The scoring flurry put Virginia University of Lynchburg up by 18, 45-27. The Avenging Angels fought back, shrinking the deficit to seven going into the fourth quarter. Mock drained a three and a jumper. Meredith made eleven free throws in the quarter. Virginia University of Lynchburg had two players in foul trouble and one foul out, which left with five available players.
- Virginia University of Lynchburg had two players pick up fouls in the first two minutes of the quarter. Macy Brackett, the Dragon's leading scorer, fouled out with 7:39 left. This forced VUL to play down a player, 5 on 4.
- Meredith continued to fight. Wade's layup cut into the deficit to make it 51-44. Bethea hit a triple with 5:50 remaining which made it a two-possession game. With four minutes left, Hinchey fouled out for Virginia University of Lynchburg, giving Meredith the five on three advantage.
- Wade converted another layup to give the Avenging Angels the lead, 56-55. Danae Hawkins and Pam Mock utilized the extra space on the floor and lack of defenders to knock down multiple jumpers and covert layups in the final three minutes to complete the 60-65 comeback victory on Senior Day.
- Mock scored a season-high 25 points in the win. Bethea added 12 points on 7-8 from the charity stripe and Rylie Wade notched another double double with 11 points and 16 rebounds.
- Virginia University of Lynchburg put up a gutsy performance in the loss battling through foul trouble. In the loss, Macey Brackett scored 26 points, Purchas put up 18 points, and Aalyssa Rogers had 13 points.
