Salem, Va. – Meredith College field hockey headed back to Virginia to face off against long time competitor Roanoke College. Locked at 0-0 in the fourth period, the Maroons found a way through to defeat Meredith 1-0 with less than ten minutes on the clock.
How it Happened:

The second quarter proved to be a defensive showdown for both teams. With only two shots taken by Roanoke in the period, the game would come down to who would prevail in the second half.

Jasmin Solar, were not going down without a fight and managed to keep the scoreboard clean going into the final quarter of the game.

Hailey Gass to earn the lone point of the game. Meredith pushed back against Roanoke to even the score but couldn't capitalize before the whistle blew.
