Meredith Volleyball Secures Conference Win at Methodist

Score: Methodist 1, Meredith 3 (26-24, 20-25, 25-22, 25-19)

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Meredith volleyball earned a key USA South Conference victory on the road Tuesday night, defeating Methodist University 3-1 with set scores of 26-24, 20-25, 25-22, 25-19.

The Avenging Angels opened the match with a tightly contested first set, edging the Monarchs in extra points. Methodist responded by evening the match with a second-set win, but Meredith bounced back with strong offensive play to claim the third and fourth sets, sealing the road victory.

Middle hitter Daven Brabble led the way with a match-high 18 kills, while outside hitters Reagan Kresho and Caitlyn Russell added 14 and 13 kills, respectively. Setter Lillie Davis powered the offense with an impressive 48 assists.

On the defensive side, libero Megan Murray recorded a season-high 29 digs, anchoring the back row. At the net, middle blocker Kinley Copeland contributed six total blocks to help slow down the Methodist attack.

With the win, Meredith carries momentum into this weekend's USA South tri-match in Staunton, Va., where the Avenging Angels will face Mary Baldwin University and Salem College.
