RALEIGH, N.C. – The Meredith College lacrosse team opened the 2026 season in dominant fashion Tuesday afternoon, defeating Greensboro College, 24-1, in a USA South Conference match up at Meredith College. The Avenging Angels improve to 1-0 overall and 1-0 in league play following their season and home opener.

Meredith wasted no time setting the tone, erupting for 13 first-quarter goals to take full control early. The Avenging Angels added five more in the second quarter to carry an 18-0 lead into halftime.
