Meredith Dominates Methodist 16-2 in Conference Road Win

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Meredith College lacrosse team returned from a weekend off sharp and focused Tuesday evening, delivering a dominant 16-2 victory over USA South Conference rival Methodist at Monarch Stadium. With both teams entering the contest rested, the Avenging Angels wasted no time setting the tone and controlled the game from start to finish.

Game Highlights

Meredith jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, scoring three goals in the opening six minutes behind a fast start from Kenzie Todd. The Avenging Angels controlled the first half, building an 11-1 advantage by halftime through efficient offense and strong possession play.

The third quarter saw Methodist find the back of the net once, but Meredith's defense held firm and limited opportunities throughout the contest. The Avenging Angels closed the game with a decisive fourth quarter, scoring five unanswered goals to seal the 16-2 victory.

Meredith dominated statistically, outshooting Methodist 29-11 and holding a strong edge in draw controls (15-4) and clears (15-of-16).

Bailey Swails added three goals, while Paige Mathews, Logan Campbell, and Mia Frick each contributed two. Gabrielle Romano and Reese Walker rounded out the scoring.
