RALEIGH, N.C. - A championship performance in every sense unfolded Saturday in Raleigh, as Meredith College lacrosse overwhelmed Piedmont University Lions, 21–2, to secure the USA South Conference Tournament Championship. With the victory, the Avenging Angels claimed their 12th consecutive tournament title and 21st overall USA South championship (regular season + tournament combined), continuing one of the most dominant runs in Division III. The win also earns Meredith an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Meredith wasted no time asserting control, jumping out to a 4–1 lead in the opening quarter behind balanced scoring and relentless defensive pressure. The Avenging Angels extended that margin to 9–2 by halftime, capitalizing on draw controls, forced turnovers, and efficient offensive execution.
The second half turned into a showcase of Meredith's depth and dominance. The Angels outscored Piedmont 12–0 over the final two quarters, including a 6-goal third and a 6-goal fourth, while holding the Lions to just two total shots across the final 30 minutes. Meredith finished with commanding advantages in shots (41–5), ground balls (39–13), and caused turnovers, controlling every facet of play from start to finish.
