RALEIGH, N.C. - Meredith soccer returned home and battled a tough Lynchburg team on Wednesday evening, falling 4-0 in Raleigh.
The Hornets struck for two goals in each half, breaking the scoreless tie in the 25th minute.
Lynchburg, which entered the contest outscoring its opponents by a margin of 11-1, controlled possession throughout.

Delaney Thompson delivered a remarkable performance, making a season-high 17 saves in a valiant effort to help keep the margin close in the early going.
