Megan Rahn

Megan Rahn enters her sixth season as head coach of the Meredith College women's basketball program in 2026-27 after being named the Avenging Angels' head coach in June 2021.

A former Meredith standout and longtime member of the program, Rahn has continued to build upon the tradition of Avenging Angels basketball while developing student-athletes on and off the court. During her tenure, Meredith has produced three USA South First Team All-Conference selections, including two honors earned by Kate Perko and one by Pamela Mock. The recognition reflects Rahn's commitment to player development and individual excellence within the program.

In her second season at the helm, Rahn guided the Avenging Angels to a 10-8 record in USA South Conference play during the 2022-23 campaign, marking the program's highest conference winning percentage during her tenure. Under her leadership, Meredith has remained competitive within one of the nation's largest Division III conferences while continuing to develop student-athletes who have earned recognition at the conference level.

Rahn returned to her alma mater in 2016 as a volunteer assistant coach before being promoted to a full-time assistant role following the 2019-20 season. After five years on the Meredith coaching staff, she was elevated to head coach prior to the 2021-22 campaign.

As a student-athlete, Rahn established herself as one of the most accomplished players in program history. A four-year standout for the Avenging Angels from 2008-12, she earned three All-Conference selections, two All-State honors, and was a three-time recipient of Meredith's Outstanding Performance Award.

Rahn concluded her playing career as one of the most prolific players in Meredith history. During her senior season, she averaged 24.2 points per game, the second-highest mark in NCAA Division III that year. She remains among the program's all-time leaders in numerous statistical categories, including rebounds, defensive rebounds, starts, and scoring.

Following graduation, Rahn spent four seasons as an assistant coach at Athens Drive High School before returning to Meredith and beginning her collegiate coaching career.

A Meredith graduate, Rahn earned a bachelor's degree in mass communications with a minor in studio art.
