Elizabeth Ledford

Elizabeth Ledford joined the Meredith College athletics staff in August 2018 as the assistant volleyball coach. She brings more than two decades of coaching experience to the championship Avenging Angels program.

Most recently, Ledford served as a head coach with the NC Academy Volleyball Club and led her 15s team to a runner-up finish in the Carolina Region Championship. She also coached for NC Elite Volleyball Club in Raleigh.

Ledford served five seasons as the head coach of Raleigh's Ravenscroft volleyball program with the varsity team reaching the state playoffs each of her five years, including a quarterfinal appearance. She led the St. David's School volleyball program for five years to include the 2011 NCISAA 2A State Championship with an undefeated season. The Eastern Plains Independent Conference named Ledford Coach of the Year on two occasions, and she coached the 1A/2A East All-Star team in 2010 and 2011.

Ledford's coaching career debuted with a volunteer position at Emory and Henry College in 1992, and she was promoted to head volleyball coach the following season.

Ledford also works as the Metro Director for Triangle Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She leads a team that ministers to coaches and athletes in 12 counties and hundreds of athletic environments.

Majoring in marketing, Ledford earned a Bachelor in business administration from James Madison University.
