Rocky Mount, N.C. - The Meredith volleyball team started their USA South conference schedule traveling to N.C. Wesleyan on Wednesday. The Battling Bishops took sets one and two 25-18 and 25-22. The Avenging Angels took set three 25-18, only to lose set four 25-11.

The Avenging Angels (5-3, 0-1 USA South) were led by Mallory Booker with 11 kills and 18 digs. Cori Spade provided nine kills and Leanne Burton eight. Clarke Glendenning had 19 assists for Meredith. The Bishops (4-5, 1-0) were led by Meredith Smith with 13 kills.

Meredith next returns to action as they host #11 nationally-ranked Christopher Newport at noon and Ferrum at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
