Box Score Raleigh, N.C. - The Meredith volleyball team dropped a USA South conference match on Wednesday night as N.C. Wesleyan won 3-1. The evening was also the Avenging Angels'Spike Out Cancer game with members from the Kay Yow Foundation, Jimmy V Foundation, and Pretty in Pink Foundation in attendance.
The Battling Bishops (12-8, 6-4 USA South) jumped out on Meredith (14-8, 7-5) in the first two sets as they won them 25-14, 25-18. The Angels avenged a lost as they won the third set 25-16 but fell short in the fourth 25-21.
Meredith was led by Cori Spade with 16 kills and 13 digs. Molly Markley had 14 kills to go with two blocks. Kara Baughman had 26 assists and Emily Anderson led with 15 digs.
Meredith returns to action on Saturday as they finish their non-conference schedule with a match at Guilford.
