LAGRANGE, Ga. -- Three-time USA South Rookie of the Week Julie Capretti led the Meredith College lacrosse Angels in a 22-4 rout of the host LaGrange Panthers in conference action Saturday. Two of Capretti's five total points opened the match that would give Meredith their fifth consecutive win and eighth overall this season.

The Angels controlled the match from the onset and outshot the Panthers 28-5 in the first 30 minutes of play to lead 16-3 heading into the intermission. In the second half Meredith held LaGrange to just one point en route to an 18-point advantage for the win.

On the defensive end, Cierra Mozer led Meredith with a pair of caused turnovers to challenge LaGrange near the cage. Keeper Katie Sills tallied five saves in her eighth win in goal for the Angels, and Kallie Brook took the loss for the hosts.

Victoria Doyle led Meredith with a trio of goals, adding one assist, and Mozer finished the match with three points on two goals and one assist, her first collegiate offensive record. Sarah Arbes led Meredith with five draw controls, a tie for match-high with Panther Rachael Thomas, to go along with four groundballs, while Katie Burnet and Jordyn King combined for eight draw controls, six groundballs, and four points on the day.
