Bayamon, P.R. -- The Meredith College lacrosse Angels handled Roanoke with ease 27-17 Monday, while in Puerto Rico for spring break. Katie Burnet led the offensive efforts as the Avenging Angels recorded their fourth victory on the season.

After excessive rain moved Sunday evening's game to Monday morning, MC Lax hit the field ready to play. The Angels outshot Roanoke 22-15 in the first period, and Katie Sills registered 5-of-10 saves to send Meredith into the break with a 10-point advantage.

The Maroons battled in the second period to maintain even scoring with the Angels, but the effort would leave Roanoke trailing by 10 down the stretch.

Meredith is slated to face off with SUNY Oneonta Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. Check back for possible video stream availability.
