Box Score RALEIGH, N.C. -- The Meredith College field hockey team fell to No. 14 Washington and Lee, 10-0, at the MC Athletic Complex on Thursday evening.
The contest was originally scheduled to be played Sept. 19, but was made up tonight.
The Avenging Angels continue their search for the first win in program history, while the Generals remain undefeated at 11-0 after jumping into the Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III coaches poll at No. 14, this week.
Shae-Lynn Henderson made 36 saves in the game while the Generals took a toal of 62 shots in the game. Washington and Lee found the back of the cage six times in the first quarter and added one in each the second and third quarters before scoring twice in the final period.
The Avenging Angels return to action on Saturday, Oct. 16, as they host Sewanee beginning at 1 pm.
