Box Score WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The Meredith volleyball team picked up a 3-0 win at Salem on Tuesday night.
The Avenging Angels move into a tie for first place in the USA South East division with a record of 16-6 on the year and a 10-2 mark in conference action. Meanwhile, Salem falls to 0-16 and 0-12 in league games.
For the match, Meredith won 25-13, 25-18, 25-16.
Whitney Bolton and Avery Bowman each finished with nine kills, while Hailey Long tallied seven kills of her own. Lauren Bissette registered six kills and Martin-Maine Wrangell recorded four kills in the win. Bowman added 13 assists, three digs and four total blocks (one solo) to her stat line, while Bailey Lucas led the game with 17 assists.
Defensively, senior libero Lauren Phillip finished with a game-high 22 digs, which is her 11th game this season with at least 20 digs. Hannah Jo Jablonski recorded seven digs and Emily Emerson and Lucas each finished with six digs.
The Avenging Angels are back in action on Thursday, Oct. 21, at home against Salem beginning at 7 pm.
