Box Score 2 STAUNTON, Va. – The Meredith volleyball closed out their regular season with a sweep over Mary Baldwin, 3-1 (25-17, 17-25, 25-18, 27-25) and 3-0 (25-13, 25-21, 25-11).
Meredith finishes the regular season with a 9-4 overall record, and 6-2 in the USA South East Division. The Avenging Angels will enter the USA South East Division Championship Tournament as the third-seed, and will travel to No. 2-seeded Averett. The winner will face the winner of No. 1-seed William Peace and No. 4-seed Greensboro.
In the first game, Meredith had three players with double-digit kills with Hailey Long, Ally Copenhaver, and Avery Bowman earning 12, 11, and 10, respectively. Bowman also led in assists with 27, while Bailey Lucas added 20. Lauren Phillips also had 28 digs.
Bowman had a strong second game, leading the way with eight kills, while also adding 13 assists and ten digs. Whitney Bolton and Lauren Bissette each had three blocks.
