BRIDGEWATER, Va. -- The Meredith College field hockey team returned to the field to face off with Bridgewater on Wednesday afternoon.

The Avenging Angels (0-2) fell to the Eagles (1-2) 15-0. Bridgewater is coming off back-to-back contests against ranked opponents.

Shae-Lynn Henderson made 20 saves in 45 minutes, while Charlee Hemby came in for the third quarter and stopped seven shots.

The Avenging Angels return to action on Saturday, Sept. 11, for their home opener against Wittenberg beginning at 1 pm.
