Raleigh, N.C. - The Meredith volleyball program fell 3-1 to cross town rival William Peace University Wednesday night inside Weatherspoon Gymnasium. 

The Avenging Angels dropped the first two sets but picked up a third set win to force a 4th set.

Junior Lauren Bissette earned a game-high 17 kills while swinging a .412 hitting percentage. Senior Hailey Long added 12 kills as well.

Junior Hannah Jo Jablonski led the defense with 18 digs while freshman Lillie Davis tallied 35 assists while adding 13 digs.

The Angels are back in action at Pfeiffer this weekend when they battle the Falcons at noon and Salem at 2 p.m.
